Hi there, I would like to cancel my subscription. I made a mistake by paying for a public mobile account prior to securing closing my other account. It turns out I'd like to stay with them (Koodo), they offered me a good deal to stick around.
I'd like to cancel my account with you guys and potentially have a refund as well, please. I haven't received a sim card and I tried to cancel it about 1 hour after paying for the first month.

You will need to contact customer service agent. In general, PM does not offer refunds, but you can ask anyways.
Try to submit a ticket via the chat bot:

Unfortunately Public Mobile is a prepaid service. There are no refunds. Did you get a phone number already? If you are keeping Koodo instead as they offered you something better, maybe talk with them and ask if they are willing to give you a credit for the amount you paid for PM??
If you wish to cancel your PM account, go into you profile and manage payments, turn off auto pay by moving the toggle to the left. That will close your account.
You can create a ticket here and ask if PM will refund but it's 50-50
