Hi everyone,
Happy PM customer here since last year.
I thought I'd try to use an older Nokia model for a little while, so I swapped my SIM card out of my Android phone and into an unlocked Nokia 5320 XpressMusic (http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_5320_xpressmusic-2348.php).
PM's "Check your phone" page says my IMEI number is good and that my device should work on the Network.
However, I have no bars on the phone, and it's not automatically connecting to a network.
Trying to connect to a network manually, the only one I can see is "EXT", and it doesn't let me connect.
Trying to make a phone call results in an error message: "Network not found"
Any ideas?

Yeah it was a PAYG phone i got from rogers years ago, I'm still waiting for my new Xiaomi from gearbest and need a temp phone to use. Thanks for the help guys.

@on2wheels if you need to use that phone, your only options in Canada are Rogers and Fido, since Rogers is the only provider that operates a 2G GSM network here. Frankly, I'm amazed they still keep it running today.

2G only. Pretty sure I saw somewhere that Bell/Telus have shut down their 2G network. If that is the case that phone will not work with either of them. It should still work on Rogers as I believe they still have 2G active.
Bell/Telus never had a 2g GSM network that the Nokia C3 would have been able to connect to. The 2g network that they had was of the CDMA variety.

Sorry, this phone most definitely will not work. It is simply incompatible.

Wow, a 5320.... that's a blast from the past.
Reminds my of my old Nokia E71 that was a beast for texting and email.
I also had the Nokia 5800... but the E71 was a much better work-horse.

I think this must be the case, that it's not the American version. Unfortunately I can't find a way to find out what frequency bands my phone supports. (Unless I travel to Europe, I guess!)
I will contact the phone seller and see what they have to say.

Hey @samnabi,
The American variant of your Nokia 5320 is compatible with PM's 3G network. The way you describe your experience, it seems like you may not have the American version.. the other versions will not work as it doesn't have the right bands.
The IMEI checker on PM's website is not very reliable and its more accurate in checking against the blacklist and fails often when checking for compatibility on less popular phones.

@samnabi, sorry to hear you are having some issues. Does this phone support the LTE bands? The IMEI checker really only checks a list of stolen or lost phones, it doesn't actually tell you if your phone will work. You can check here www.willmyphonework.net I am thinking that this phone doesn't support LTE that is why it can't find the network but I am not sure.
