Thank you Model Citizen. Your advice was ban on!  I went with the $39/60 and it’s working fine, I changed from the ATT option and using T mobile network seems to work a bit better. Thanks again for the easy to understand explanation. Take care.

Hi, can you please confirm what the US Roaming - Talk Text (15-day) add on includes?

Is it correct to say that it offers unlimited texts and calls along with 3GBs of data? I'm wondering since the add on title only says talk text with no mention of data or how much talking & texting is included. Thanks for any info

@Sb4u  There is a $15 US roaming add-on that is unlimited talk and text only for 15 days but no data.  The one with 3GB of data is $30 for 15 days.

@Chrisgallenger   Another thing to consider is whether your phone is VoLTE capable/enabled because there is no more 3G network in the USA, thus non-VoLTE phones that work here in Canada where we still have 3G have problems in the US.  A non-VoLTE phone's only option for voice calls in the USA is to hope for a 2G connection on T-Mobile where it exists.

@Chrisgallenger You have some good responses already, but I want to to take a slightly different tact.  How much data do you need on a regular basis in Canada?  If you're looking at needing more than the 20 GB that the $29 plan offers, you might consider going to the $39/60 GB plan and getting US coverage (including LD from Canada to the US) thrown in.

If your data use is lower, you may want to stick with the addons that have already been mentioned - but if you want a high-data plan anyway, give the $39 plan a look.

@Chrisgallenger

How long are you going for?

You can either purchase a 15 day roaming package or consider switching to a US-Canada $40 plan. Decent promo plan recently $40 plan for 60 GB.

If you travel to US often, then getting the actual plan is likely more cost effective than getting 15 day roaming packages.

Unlimited U.S. Talk, Text and 3GB Data Bundle  $30

Unlimited U.S. Talk and Text Bundle  $15

250 MB Data   $10

1 GB Data  $20

3 GB Data $25

@Chrisgallenger

if you go to US frequently...best is to upgrade to one of the Canada / US PM plans currently available.

HI @Chrisgallenger if you just go for a short time, 15 days or less, and 3GB is enough , then you can just buy the roaming addon

if you need more data or longer time, then get the proper Canada-US plan, $39 is the cheapest
