No, Public Mobile does not work in Europe.
While Public Mobile has expanded its roaming options to include Mexico alongside the United States, their service currently does not support international roaming anywhere outside of North America.
Apps like Airalo, Nomad, or Holafly allow you to buy a digital data plan for specific European countries or the entire EU. You can install these before you even leave Canada. Once you land, you can pick up a physical SIM from local carriers (like Orange, Vodafone, or O2). These are often the most cost-effective and usually provide a local European phone number.
If you need to call home to Canada for free, you can use apps like Fongo or TextNow while connected to Wi-Fi or your travel data plan.
