Hello. I ported over my account this evening from Freedom. Activation seemed to go smoothly and I received the welcome email etc. However, it has been over five hours and I still cannot make/receive calls or text messages. Data also does not seem to be working. It shows the network but when I try to navigate to a webpage etc. nothing happens. Is this a normal wait time? Thanks!

I think my port in is stuck in limbo. When I call out, the other party can see that I am calling from the number that I am trying to port in, but when they try to call me, they are getting the voice mail from my old provider.

Hi,
this is the step i stuck, the next page was not displayed after i clicked continue button waiting for more than 20 minutes. i opened new page to try but the sim is not valid any more.

Hi,
I just tried to register account and transfer my freedem mobile wireless to public mobile. But it was unfortunately stuck at te middle. now when i try again, the i had invalid sim error now cannot go to next step at activate sim.
can any body give me any advice how should i proceed now?

I'm glad to hear that you've decided to make the switch to PM, but not so happy to hear about your port !
Just to clarify, ports from Speakout take about 2 to 3 business days to complete - and if all the information entered is valid, it should complete shortly. Please feel free to send me your phone number via private message and I'll check on the status of the port 🙂

In order for me to look into it, could you please send me a private message with your SIM card number, the number you would like to port + the account number with your previous provider?
Also, please make sure that your account with them is still active otherwise we won't be able to process the port request 🙂

This is my first post on these boards and I'm hoping one of the great mods can help me out.
I tried porting a landline number from Comwave to a recently activated PM sim card. I keep getting errors like wrong information.
Please let me know what information you require to port the number as there are no fields to enter certain information the website needs.

Thanks for letting us know about this! I'm sorry to hear you experienced issues while trying to port your number.
What I would recommend is that you activate with a temporary phone number and then send me a private message with your temporary number, the number you would like to port + your account number with your old provider. I'll then send the port request for you!
Also, to make sure the port request can successfully complete, please make sure your current account with the other provider is still active.

Hi,
When I tried to change my phone number and chose
-Transfer a wireless or wireline number from Public Mobile or another provider
After check for eligible then this message showed up.
"We are experiencing difficulties in processing this request. Please contact Public Mobile for additional assistance. "
What should I do now?

Hi,
I started a port away from Rogers yesterday and my phone calls are still coming through my Rogers SIM. I'm a new PM customer.
Perhaps the port got stuck. Help?

Just ported from Freedom Mobile. It took about 20 minutes. Yay!
