fair point @Chalupa_Batman. When I did mine I opted to enter my account number with the old carrier which worked out well. Thanks for the heads up in case I have any future referrals 🙂

Do you mean upgrading your current Public Mobile plan to a different plan OR do you mean you want to know how to transfer your number from old network in to your new Public Mobile account ?

Just a heads up @eddieO I wouldn't recommend using the IMEI number as there are so many complaints that they entered it correctly but the system goes buggy and screws it up. LOL.

@Aldo70 - When activating, you will have the option to get a new number or transfer from your old provider.
You say your old Provider, then enter the account number, then you will get a port confirmation text from your old provider, please reply YES and keep the SIM inserted to de-activate, then insert PM sim and you will be ready to go!
If you are already a PM subscriber, and you are worried that changing plans will make you lose your number, don't worry! You won't lose your number unless you port out, change phone numbers, or your account got cancelled due to being in suspension.

Hey @Aldo70
You ALWAYS keep your phone number when changing packages. When changing your plan to a different one, we recommend changing it on the renewal date. That way you don't lose anything you've already paid for. Unless it's maybe 2-3 days away then no big loss to take advantage of the newer plan.
However, if you're just signing up for Public Mobile, there will be an option for porting over your number.

Hi @Aldo70 , I'm assuming you are a new customer to PM? If so, while signing up, one of the later steps on the PM app will as if you want to transfer your number or create a new one. Simply select the "transfer number" option and you will need to provide the old number, select the carrier it will be transferring from, and either your phones IMEI number or the account number from your old carrier. The whole process can take anywhere from half an hour to a few hours
