Hi there,
Whenever you are switching to another provider (transferring your current phone number to another service provider) the new provider will ask for the phone number, account number (previous service provider), and the name of your existing provider so they can send a request and will notify the previous service provider of your switching. You don't have to do anything, it should automatically deactivate your old account and you shouldn't be charged on the next renewal billing cycle.
By the way, if you do get charged you can dispute with your credit card company and they will give you a full refund.

@arunkodati No worries if you successfully ported number from PM to Telus it will automatically close your PM account .

@arunkodati account will be closed as part of the porting process after number is ported
you can also try to login your PM My Account, if you cannot login, the. it further confirms your account is now closed
