Hi there,
I started to transfer my ITalkBB phone number to Public Mobile about 7 days ago. When I phoned ITalkBB to cancel my phone number and close my account, they asked me to contact Public Mobile to make sure the transfer is done. My question: how can I contact Public Mobile to make sure the transfer is done? Thanks!

Make sure you don’t cancel you account with ITalkBB before you port out.
We made the mistake by canceling our landline before we ported so we lost our number which I had for years…had to pick a new number.

HI @Yuk268 Yes, iTalkBB is a VoIP provider like landline
Reboot your phone first, then try to call yourself from another phone and see if your PM phone rings
if not, call the porting team. I will message you the phone number. Please check your Community inbox, the envelop icon, for my message

Before you do anything with italkbb, check this number and see if it thinks there's a port in progress. Or even talk with somebody there...only about porting.

Thanks. ITalkBB is similar to landline. My cell phone can receive a call through that number with the Public sim in. My account also show that number. I remember when I initiated transfer phone number in Public Mobile account, It shows it will let me know when transfer process is completed. But I have not received any notification yet.

Can you call in to your device using that number with the Public sim in? Does your account show your proper number?
Transfering numbers should close the account. I've never heard of italkbb but for cell service transferring you need to confirm a text from the previous provider with the old sim in.
