The steps must be followed in exact order if you are porting your number over to PM:
- Make sure your old SIM is active so DON’T CANCEL serviced with them.
- Purchase a PM SIM from Amazon ($5) or Canadian Cell Supplies ($4) or pick one up from Telus/Koodo/Mobile Klinik store ($10.00) or eSIM from Public (ONLY if your phone is eSIM compatible so check).
- Download the PM app on your phone to activate the SIM. There is an option to pick a new number or
- Porting your old number = Use the old account number and not the IMEI to avoid issues. Complete to step 6. Note that your previous service is Koodo prepaid…you will need to pick a temporary number and contact the CS_Agent to complete the porting of your old number.
- Keep the old SIM in your phone and wait for the text from old carrier and confirm with YES you are porting over to PM within 90 minute window once you get the text.
- Keep the old SIM in your phone until porting process is completed because the old SIM will continue to work for about 2 hours.
- Power off the phone once porting is completed then switch to PM SIM and power on your phone.

from Koodo Prepaid or Postpaid?
if Koodo Prepaid, you need to setup the account with a temporary phone number first. After it is setup, you will have to message PM to ask them to help to transfer
message them using this link:

CS_Agent will reply to your community inbox, check here:

If Koodo postpaid, you should be able to use the Public Mobile app to request transfer. But if you run into trouble, get a temporary phone number first and ask PM to help to port after

Are you a Koodo monthly (postpaid) or prepaid customer? If prepaid, contact an agent (CS_Agent or a ticket) and they will transfer it for you.

First, @Aj35 , the Koodo service must be active. ( I presume you've already downloaded the PM App and went through the activation process through the app)
Go to your self-serve site and use the Change your Number option.
If you were using Koodo prepaid, you'll need customer support to do it for you.
To contact a Customer Support Agent, there are 2 methods:
- Use the ticketing system by clicking here , then Contact Us, or,
- Send a private message to Customer Support Agent by clicking here. You’ll need to be logged into your Community account for the link to work.
Watch for their response in your Community private mailbox which will be indicated by a number on the small envelope icon to the left of your Community avatar.
