@ghidey - How "Old" is your number you are trying to transfer?
If your Public Mobile number/account has been in suspended/nonpay status for over 90 days, then you lost your phone number, account, access to Self Serve and any rewards.
Sorry, will not be able to get your number back, if this is your situation.

Presuming you're not in the middle of porting from another provider here, if your "old number" was one which was originally supplied by Public Mobile (and not 'belonging' to another provider), you might want to try contacting a Customer Support Agent for direct assistance to try to attain that number.
This will, of course, only work if the number is not currently assigned to someone else and is available for selection.
There are NO GUARANTEES one can attain an old number - but there's no harm asking.
To contact a Customer Support Agent, there are 2 methods:
Watch for their response in your Community private mailbox which will be indicated by a number on the small envelope icon to the left of your Community avatar.
