I am trying to buy tickets and am getting the message that I can only use a mobile number or landline, but my public mobile number is a mobile number. I am wondering if public mobile isn't listed as a Ticketmaster approved carrier? Also, I ported the number in from a VoIP provider several months ago and haven't had this issue with other 2FA services. Has anyone else had this issue?

@bpi wrote:Okay, at least that narrows it down to a known issue of porting in a number which was originally a VoIP number. My guess is that the issue is that Ticketmaster doesn't check each number and that they just block the entire block. With number porting this doesn't work as a reliable method to block VoIP numbers. Very frustrating.
This is an issue entirely with Ticketmaster. Unfortunatley, this isn't something that Public Mobile could assist with.

The number is a 519-704 number. The irony is that I chose to get one of these numbers because when I called from my old 226 number, everyone thought it was a spammer calling but 519-704 numbers show up as ISP Tel even though that's not who I got the number from.

What is your area code and first 3 digits? Just to check where number is coming from...
That is my biggest concern regarding porting voip or land line. Number will BE attached to mobile device but it will NOT be considered as 'mobile number'.

Exactly what @Dunkman mentioned. My number came from Fongo and ticketmaster among other websites don't recognize it as a mobile number. This is something that Telco as a whole need to resolve.

No issues with ticketmaster with my PM accounts.
It might be specific to your phone number (which was originally a VOIP number). You might want to call Ticketmaster to see what they can do about it. Unlikely a Public mobile issues.
