These are the two main questions that should solve your problem.

 

What plan are you on?

 

Does your phone have all the requirements to send texts on publicmobile network?

You mentioned being on PM for about 10 months... did the texting just stop recently, or has it never worked (I'd be shocked at the latter!)?  When you say it doesn't work, what happens when you send a text, and who all are the recipients you've tried?  You're consistently seeing a green text bubble, correct?  And does it just seem to send, but the recipient never receives, or do you see the red circled exclamation mark and "Not Delivered" underneath?

 

What about texts sent to you?  I presume they aren't arriving?  Are these from iPhone, Android, machines (short codes)...?

 

Do you see "Outgoing Text" or "Incoming Text" in the Usage History section of your Self-Serve portal?

 

In any case, I'm sure you've tried going in and out of Airplane Mode and also hard rebooting, but if not, definitely do those.  Before doing so, also go Settings --> General --> Date & Time --> Set Automatically (ensure this is enabled), and also make sure the city corresponds to the same Time Zone that you're in (doesn't have to be your city).  Then reboot and re-test.

 

Failing all that, are you able to test the SIM card in another phone?

Imessage is off always has been as I dont use it I dont receive any texts either

What is the setting for iMessage?

I am not using iPhone.  But I know you need to disable the iMessage in order for your text message to go through.

 

For the iOS expert, correct me if I am wrong.

What plan are you on? What appears in your self serve account.

Can you expand on "not working" ? When you send something, it fails? Are you trying to send just text (SMS) or text + a pic/video (MMS)? Need more info to help troubleshoot.
