By now i do know that PM uses towers of Telus.
But I was reading elsewhere that Bell and Telus have an alliance and use the towers interchangeably.
Is this true for GTA or for regions outside GTA ?
Two scenarios:
- I am inside GTA and Telus tower is far away or not strong in the area I am in. Will PM latch on to Bell tower ?
- Outside of GTA, Telus towers is not in the area I am in. WillPM latch on to Bell tower ?
If anyone has any idea please let me know.

I have read in the past that Telus has old towers from before the HSPA days.. most of their towers in the GTA and Ottawa area are 1900 MHz and all of Telus and Bell phones may connect to them in some areas as needed.

Hi again, @neo911
A simplified view is that east of Manitoba is majority Bell towers. West of Manitoba is on Telus towers.
We in the GTA connect mostly to the Bell towers as there are no Telus towers the last time looked at one of those tower maps a while back.
Our PM service connects to Bell towers seamlessly.. these towers have full capabilities to handle Telus and all its subsidiaries such as Koodo and PM.

Somone can correct me if i am wrong but from what i know before. Telus Towers are Western canada, Bell Towers are Eastern Canada, and they have a network agreement to use the opposing towers in the other cities. They just have their own ID Broadcasted on the towers. (again, this may have changed since the last time i had looked it up)
Coverage Map is shown on this link if you are concerned on coverage areas.
