Telus lying

I had a public mobile plan I was happy with but they said I needed to upgrade as I would be affected by the upgrade of March 27.... I choose to accept the telus plan of 5G for $19 a month bit they have been screwing me up.... first I got a $65 bill then they said I had to sign up with my bank card to get the $19 a month., but once I did they still deduct $29. I want to return to public mobile but the plan I had is no longer there. How do I switch my phone number back.

I think there may have been some confusion that kicked this off even. The 'upgrade' of March 27, is that the 3G shutdown you are referring to? There was no need to upgrade plans for that, only certain phones need to be upgraded if they do not support VoLTE with Public.

telus has given me a credit good on next bill and promises to honor the $19 plus tax plan. I shall have to wait to see what unfolds....thanks for all your help...I now know the procedure  to return to public mobile if they do not honor their word.

You are now considered NEW customer and you can chose among plans for NEW customers only.

Most likely $19 does not exist anymore nor you can get it ever even after asking agent.

get a Public Mobile sim; download the Public Mobile app to your cell and create a new account with a different email address then the one you used before. Activate a new plan,..they now start at $22 and $24 for 30 days. You'll be given the opportunity to transfer your number back to your new Public Mobile account but don't cancel your Telus account just yet. Once your new Public Mobile account is up and running as expected, your old account with Telus will be deactivated after you successfully transfer then number over. After activating the Public Mobile acct, you can call Telus and request your payment card info be scrubbed...just to be sure.

you can switch back, but you will be subscribing as a new account and choose from current plans.  Sorry, you cannot get your old plan back with your old account, your old account was fully closed already
