Switching to Koodo Offer

I got a switching to Koodo message and it appears really attractive to me. Currently I am on $120 90 days PM plan. I just prepaid $120 like one month ago, which means I still have 2-month usage left. What happened if I switch to Koodo now? Will I lose that 2-month usage if PM don't refund me back?

Any thoughts??

@nicole233, you gotta look at the bigger picture.  Losing a full 2 months is $80 plus tax.  The incentive is $180 bill credit plus a base price of $35 for 5GB, which is $5 less per month and 1GB more data.  The intangible is prepaid vs postpaid which is not easy to put a dollar figure to.  I would say if you are looking at pure dollars and cents, it is hard to dismiss the offer.  One strategy could be to order online on the very last day and let the process drag out as long as possible to reduce the stranded usage by another week or two.

To port out or ask for a cancellation before term expiration, you lose that portion of what you've paid. No refunds.

If another carrier entices you to come over, it might be that they offer a signing bonus that would in effect cover your losses.

Dang. Slow off the draw again 🙂

Yes you will not get a refund but that is why the Koodo offer includes a $180 bill credit ($15 a month for a year)  So you aren't losing out. even with the loss at PM you will still be getting $100 more than what you are out.

Unforutnatey, since Public Mobile is prepaid, you will lose remaining two months of service.  I think that the recent Koodo promos offered some credit to offset this loss.
