Okay I am getting really frustrated, I've tried to deal with it for over a week now but I can't stand not having it..
I used to have Swipe type built into my Samsung Keyboard, it was so easy to turn on by going into Keyboard settings however since making the switch to Public Mobile and restarting my phone the first time, it seems to have taken that Feature away and now I can't find where to turn it back on?
Like why does Public want control of what I do on my own Device, and what apps I use on my Phone? It never used to be this way with Bell, they didn't sign me out of my Amazon account and delete my Amazon app everytime I switch SIMs.. my swipe type always worked before the switch to Public.. whats going on here?
For context I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

I only assigned the solution to the same post that you had already chosen. For this type of thing, please contact me privately.

Why did @computergeek541 mark a reply here as a Solution? I already marked the correct one as the solution the other day after the first few responses, wasn't good enough or what am I missing?

I guess the SIM didn't reset it, when a default sim is changed, the UI probably will reset something too, and Swipe is one of those 🙂

If I haven't enabled it again, it stays disabled until I enable it again.
I believe the same thing is happening either way around.

when you change from PM to Bell, would Swipe got disabled too?

Update: I found the setting to turn Swipe-Type back on - it did indeed move in the settings after a One UI update.
However, my swipe to type always stops working still everytime I switch from my Bell t9 Public e-SIM, and I have to return it back on again everytime I switch SIMs.
Kinda inconvenient and odd, however I'm just happy now I know how to turn it back on..
Public must have this as a preference, just like the Amazon App it deletes on me every single time I switch too.

The thing is, it only stopped working immediately after switching e-SIMs to Public, it hasn't worked since. I'll dig through settings some more. Maybe they moved where to find it.

100% a device/software issue. Nothing to do with PM.
My swipe keyboard works on my Pixel on PM.

pretty sure it is not a PM's thing You might want to check with some Samsung communities for help
And , there is a chance you need to wipe your phone to correct it. If you are going that route, wipe and test the KB first before you let the Cloud to restore anything back from backup.

It doesn't work using the Samsung keyboard within any App.
It does work when I switch to Google Keyboard, but I like the Samsung one better.
My phone just did a software update last night, but the issue was occurring before that.. the update never fixed it.

this is strictly a device issue
Try Google Keyboard.. it has swipe type too.. compare with Samsung, it has its good and bad..but I think it is slightly better than Samsung kb
(i thought you changed KB too.. remember we both have issue with Samsung KB since the OS upgrade?.. i forgot what was it.. but I moved on to Google KB)

Does Swipe Type works in ANY app at all?
Highly unlikely PM would change how keyboard behaves. Remove SIM and see how keyboard works then.

I would highly doubt Public would fiddle with the keyboard and functions. What keyboard do you have set? If Samsung then I found it under settings, general management, Samsung keyboard settings, swipe touch and feedback, keyboard swipe controls.

@Priority Not sure this is PM issue . Does your phone OS need updating possible
