Hi neighbors
the answer seems obvious although a little clarification won't hurt as there have been times when the assumption based on the obvious is wrong 😂 😆 😝
i was browsing the different plans to see if there is something worth changing plans to
came upon theee unclear verbiage (at least to me)
What are the differences between:
XXgb at 5G
VS
XXgb at 5g and then unlimited at lower speeds
VS
XXgb of Canada and US data at 5g
VS
XXgb of Canada and US data at 5g and then unlimited data at lower speeds
1) does this mean that if a plan does not explicitly state that you will have unlimited at lower speeds after you've used up your allotted data subscription - then it means that you will have no more cellular data service ?
2) that if i choose a Canada-US data plan, i will never ever be charged ROAMING?
3) what is the network speed of the "at lower speeds " in the description of the data plan?
4) is LTE another name for 3g or 4g or 5g or is it it's own category and which one should i choose in the phone settings when asked?
5)!is it true what someone told me that if i access PUBLIC MOBILE websites, apps or phone numbers to call - that they DO NOT count towards my subscription limits ?
Please and Thank you in advance
Keep Safe and God Bless! 🙏

Number 3 appears to be questionable. In the plan details it is said to be 512Kbps but there is a screenshot in another thread where someone maxxed out their data bucket and the PM message was that it is throttled to 256Kbps (yet elsewhere on the exact same screenshot it showed unlimited as being 512Kbps). One could argue that since 512Kbps is what is in the small print that is what it should be, but why state 256 Kbps elsewhere, and which one is it actually?

1)5G speed in limited amount like 30G per month,if over limited you can still use data in a low speed
2)you have unlimited calling to US from Canada, not Roaming to US
3)yes data plan
4)LTE is another name of4G
5)you would have unlimited canada-wide call except $15.00 plan。

Pretty much all 5G plans have unlimited data at reduced speed, with the exception of Canada-US Plan. There could be typo and still showing "Canada and US data at 5g and then unlimited data at lower speeds", but again, Canada and US data does not come with reduced speed
1. if the plans do not specify "unlimited data at reduced speeds", once the data are used up, no more data unless you buy extra data add-on (but reminder, all Canda data add-on now has a 30 days expiry)
2. if you choose a Canada-US plan, there would not be any roaming charge and you do not need to buy roaming addon again to use the service in US (a reminder, you will still need to turn on Roaming data on your device)
3. reduced speed will be at 512Kbps. Not fast, but good enough for email or simple browsing
4. LTE just another name for 4G
5. Untrue. Access PM site, app still will cost you data

That's what it intends to mean, yes. Such as with the $15 plan - once the 250MB is gone, there's no more.
2) that if i choose a Canada-US data plan, i will never ever be charged ROAMING?
That is correct - you'll never be charged for ROAMING. In fact, you never were. The only way to get service was to have prepurchased a US Roaming add on.
3) what is the network speed of the "at lower speeds " in the description of the data plan?
Data speeds reduced to a maximum of 512Kbps after your included high-speed data bucket is exhausted.
4) is LTE another name for 3g or 4g or 5g or is it it's own category and which one should i choose in the phone settings when asked?
LTE = 4G
5)!is it true what someone told me that if i access PUBLIC MOBILE websites, apps or phone numbers to call - that they DO NOT count towards my subscription limits ?
That is NOT true. Accessing or calling anything counts towards service limits such as data allotments or calling limits.
Please and Thank you in advance
