My sim won’t work. And I have NO service and it’ll take 10 days to get an online purchase sim.
is there a way to let go of my subscription without the loss of my actual phone number?
the agent says if I cancel, I will not be able to move my phone number

Sim card rarely become defective. Not sure if you need to order another SIM card.
More details would be helpful. Is your account status active versus suspended? New customer versus old? Did your plan work before?
You need an active account to port to another company.

@Darcarr You can call around to local Koodo Telus store for sim card order one amazon . And then contact support again to SIM card swap the number for you and ask if they will credit you for the new SIM card
