Hi
I have a question. If for some reason I keep the sim out of the phone for a year or more, will it become inactive? or fI can just put it back and it will work.
Thanks to all who answer.

Can't go wrong with Canadian Cell Supplies. There are some good promos going on too if you are doing a new activation. Only downfall is you will be on the new rewards program

Hi @aranade1 Important thing is if you paid the bill. If you have been paying, YES, then it will. If you have stopped paying, then the account should have been closed. Put the SIM card into a phone and test. Or call 1855-4PUBLIC and enter your phone number. If it says cannot find the account, then your account has been closed already

If you do not keep account active your SIM is useless after 90 days when account gets deactivated due to no payment.
Old SIM cannot be reused.

Unfortunately, if you haven’t kept up with payment for more than 90 days, your account and SIM will be cancelled.
You will need to purchase a new SIM.
Best place to purchase is at Canadian Cell Supplies online. They have them on sale for $3.99 and with fast shipping but unfortunately they are sold out.
Your second option is to go to London Drugs or Walmart, some stores will offer free SIM if you have them activate the SIM for you.
You can also get the SIM from a Public Mobile/Koodo retailer.
Remember to use a Referral Code for a $10 credit and there is a new promo for an additional $5 credit for 5 months ($25). 😉

As long as the account associated with that sim isn't past the 90 days since last renewal expired...it should be good. If the in-active plan has past 90 days...the account and sim are done.
