Setting up Sim on ipad to use data

I’m trying to set my iPad with sim (so I can get data) and pm wants me to verify my identity with a code they sent To my new phone number I just set up with pm. I can’t check the number on my iPad. What should I do? Also I don’t know how to access my sim pin.

Can you put the sim in a phone temporarily, just so you can get the text code? I think after you've registered there is an email option for 2fa.

Click on resend code and send the code to email. If you put the sim in a phone do you get the sim pin?
