I'm in Lindsay Ontario.  When placing a call says not registered on network.  When texting says no signal found for mobile networks

Yeah I was kind of anticipating some outages due to the storm, tbh it doesn't seem to be as bad as I thought it might be

It could be just local brief outage. No wonder since yesterday's storm and very high winds. It is good we have at least electricity...

It appears a text has gone through.  Will let u know if it continues

As suggested, try the sim in a different unlocked cell phone. If it works in other phone...that means your phone is NFG.

If it still not working in other phone...let us know.

Yes my account is active.  Tried taking the SIM out and rebooting the phone.  No luck

@Boardzy reseat sim, power off, take sim out for a minute,  then put it back and power up

Telus status page has no service outage in your area

https://www.telus.com/en/on/outages

Do you have any friends with Telus/Koodo/PM in your area with the same problem?

And you checked your My Account status is active?

Just noticed it around noon today.  Yes my account is active with a credit almost equal to my plan cost

@Boardzy  - Did you have services working okay, until just recently?

Did you log into your self serve account and ensure your account status is showing Active?

You could also confirm if your phone is not showing as blacklisted here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/

@Boardzy  - just had a post with same message...

I would suggest to try to:

  • restart your phone
  • toggle into and out of airplane mode
  • remove and reinsert SIM card
  • try SIM into another phone

Maybe an outage in your area? Check if anything is showing here:

How do I reset the SIM card?

@Boardzy it does sound like network issue.  But reboot your phone first.  If still not working , try reseat your sim card.  And if you have another phone around, try the sim card on the second phone
