@Reiko " How do I switch to AT&T?" Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe in iPhone you go to Settings -> Cellular -> Network Selection and then turn off Automatic then you should see the other options.

E is 2G data, practically unusable.
Try to manually select mobile network and see if another operator is better.

I switched my plan to my 40GB Canada-US plan. How do I switch to AT&T?

@Reiko Have you tried switching carriers between AT&T and T-mobile? What phone do you have? Do you have a Canada/US plan or a US Roaming add-on?

You’ll see the E symbol when your phone is using Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution, which is also known as Enhanced GPRS.
This is the second slowest mobile network, and it’s usually the last network a modern smartphone will connect to.
You’ll typically see speeds around 400 Kbit/s, which is significantly faster than GPRS but still isn’t fast enough to browse the internet. Texts will send slightly quicker and calls are more likely to connect though.
Go to the Settings on your phone and manually connect the Cellular Roaming to 3G, 4G or 5G (if your phone is compatible with 5G).
