I have deleted all other messaging apps like signal or whatsapp. I have upgraded my plan from 3g to a 4g plan. I have given messenger and also (when it was downloaded. Signal ) all the permissions under the sun and no restrictions on data. Still this problem persists. I've factory reset the phone. I've tried the google searches recommendations on android phones not sending pictures. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know.

@BMar

Are you able to edit your APN? Or is that option greyed out? If so is your OS Android 8.0 (Oreo)? Can you upgrade to Android 9? If not you have to further options to edit your APN.

  • If you can borrow a freedom Sim card there is a method to allow you to edit your APN using the freedom Sim card. We can walk you thru this if you choose this option.
  • Contact customer support and ask for a configuration file to be sent via text message to your phone which will update your APN to the correct public mobile carrier settings.

You can contact customer support by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking on SIMon to submit a support ticket. Or read this....

Is mobile data working on this device?  It could be as simple as need to turn the option on if it has accidently beeen disabled.  Otherwise, this could be an APN setting issue. Please take a look at the setttings at the following page:

Do you turn on mobile data when you want to send or after getting an MMS notification?

Can you check the APN Type in your APN settings. Are you otherwise able to go to web pages when not on wifi?
