SIM card

It seems that the problem I was having yesterday (excessive data usage) is due to the SIM card failing.  I would like to know how to get a new one?
thank you

It has been on wifi the whole time.  I have the data turned off again and will see if the data is still being used.  It seems to be used for push notifications and other things.  Not apps because I am not using the phone and everything I can think of has been turned off and reset.
thank goodness for the bonus data!  I will be using it!

I doubt failing physical SIM will cause excessive data usage.
Most likely some data hungry apps and updates are doing that. Do not keep data on when not really using it.

hi @Jack34

did you reset the iPhone Mobile data statistics and then monitor the usage there?  It will show you how much data the each app uses

I have no idea.  I am waiting for Apple to call me.  Taking the SIM card out and in caused a huge spike in date being used according to the phone.  (I had been messaging with Apple and have now be passed over to a phone call).

HI@Jack34

how can a failure sim card contribute to that?

but you can get a new sim from Telus or Koodo store.  Or you can also order from Amazon.ca
