I am curious to know what exactly happened here. If @user11  did not request to transfer his/her number to another carrier, how can someone else do it without having account/imei number or any other info needed to port out.

Sorry guys, I forgot that I requested a port to Bell back on Feb 17. I ended up sending the Bell SIM back in the mail so I forgot all about it. I called Bell and they confirmed they have my public mobile number. I just panicked when I lost access to my number this morning. Sorry about that.

😟🤔🙄🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️🤦

Thanks for letting us know @user11 . Well you get to do it all over again then. Buy a new SIM activate it, create a new self service account and port again. Make sure that your Bell acount is kept active to port.

Click on the question mark on the right lower corner of website.  Type: contact moderator.  Follow prompts to submit ticket for moderator help.

Unfortunately, I can't contact the moderator because I cannot login to public mobile to verify by My Account and my SIM has been hijacked so I can't accepted an SMS message and when I click "Please answer 3 of the following Personally Identifiable Information questions:"

I answer the questions, I click "Submit" and nothing happens.

Contact moderators asap

People did have their accounts reinstated.

Unforturenately, I ignored it.

So did you make that request to transfer your number to another carrier? If yes, your PM account gets cancelled automatically upon number transfer.

Sorry to hear that, @user11 . Do as the others suggested  remove the phone from credit cards, bank accounts, email addresses etc. And change the passwords. Unfortunately once the number is ported out the account is closed.

PM is doing the right thing to protect our account.  Don't ignore it.  At least check with moiderator using SIMon.

Check your bank and cc company for abnormal activities.

Scrammer is using your phone to get the 2FA code send from your bank to your phone.

@user11 Seems like something went wrong with your account or phone. Since you cannot login to your account, you can try dialing 611 and see if that goes through. If it does, it will tell you your account status. To get your account unlocked or reset password, you will need to contact the mod team. Start a conversation with Simon (chat bot) by clicking HERE to submit a ticket to the Moderator Team. Be sure to provide as much details as possible so the bot can enter all the info needed to open a ticket.

@user11

If you have autopay enabled, check you cc online to determine whether there is any pending charges that you do not recognize.

Check you bank account online to determine any abnormal activities.  If a scrammer got hold of you phone number to access your account, you need to report to you bank asap.

Create a moderator support ticket for help to determine whether there is any SIM card change on your account using the ? button at the right side bottom corner of this page.

1. Tell SIMon what is the issue
2. Ask for "moderator"
3. SIMon will give your 2 choices. Click on the "Account-specific question"
4. Then, click on "No, I want a human"
5. Click "Submit a ticket"
6. Follow instruction to create support ticket.
Good luck.

@user11  did you receive a warning message from PM about a port request? If no, does it say PM if you check your provider on the phone. What happens when you dial 611? Please restart you phone.
