I have a dual-sim phone. One number got a call from the other number. It was quite the double-take. I first thought "I" called myself but I then saw that one called the other.
Happens. When you start to see activity being recorded in your usage log then you can wonder.

How do you know your phone is used for scam?
Your number might appear on other's phone display but your number is spoofed in that case.

be aware that you are permitted to change your number if you wish.
Get on your laptop, log in to your account using incognito mode / Profile / scroll down to Change Phone Number...then fill in form to change to a different number.

@Proteau what kind of scam it was used?
Someone call you and you that your number called them but you didn't call?
No worry if so, that is call Caller ID Spoofing. Scammers programmatically set some random numbers to call others. Your account or number was not compromised

@Proteau - my number has been spoofed before. The only reason I know was because someone called and said 'you know someone called me from your number and it was a scam'. I was grateful this person called me but bummed my number was used.
If this is what is happening to you, there is really no harm other than the annoyance of someone calling you back and possibly complaining.
It never happened to me again, hopefully your number will get dropped from this scammer and move on.

@Proteau you can let the police now what’s up to clear you of any wrong doing ..if this is the case or contact support for any questions you may need to ask them …. But you might want to consider changing your phone number completely if it’s been used in some sorts fraud with out you knowledge
edit if your thinking it has been used because of a phone call that told you this , ignore it that call is the scam

unfortunately, this kind of stuff happens more frequently than it should.
If you are getting calls from people saying this, the best you can do is just tell them your number must’ve been spoofed by someone.
It’s best to just wait these things out as the only option you have is to change your number, (which can be done on the self serve site,) but not many people want to do that because they’re pretty attached with their number.
