Hi folks,
Recently ported a number from Bell to PM. It's an IPhone 8 Plus if that makes a difference.
The phone can receive and make telephone calls. Public Mobile is listed as the carrier in the top left of the phone and in the Network Selection section of Settings - Cellular.
The phone can receive IMesages whether hooked to WiFi or not...so Data is working!
But the phone will not receeive text messages. Noticed it when trying to get an EverSafe code. But i also had a friend on mine send me a text from an Android phone and never got it. I send an Android phone a text message and it was not received.
Any ideas?

It would have been Monday evening. just Reset Network setting s and rebooted. Will post here if it works.

Check if the SMS option is enabled in iMessage. If that is turned off, you wouldn't be able to recieve any of the messages not sent through iMessage.

You can try rebooting the phone to see if that helps at all. But it might just take some time for full functionality to return to normal.
This delay bfore these incoming text messages start working doesn't apply to text messages sent to customers by Public Mobile.

@PaulBDunn Try resetting network settings see if that helps . Or can you try the SIM card in another phone to test ?

How long ago did you port the number? I know it can take some time especially for those two factor authentication code texts to be delivered properly after porting a number to a new provider.
You can try resetting the network settings and then rebooting the phone to see if that helps at all. But it might just take some time for full functionality to return to normal.
