Yes, after porting over to Public Mobile, my SMS didn't work. I was using Google Messages and I switched back to the default and it still didn't work.
I sent a support ticket and they fixed it pretty quickly. I just had to reset my mobile network settings and restart my phone.
I tried it to do this before submitting a ticket and it didn't work. So, just submit a ticket, someone will adjust something on their end and it does get fixed. Thanks!
To reset the network settings, I went to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hey, thank you for that info! I followed your post Settings >General Management >Reset>Reset mobile networks Settings and it seems to have solved the problem. If only I had known that days ago, but anyway I'm very thankful to have text messaging going forward even though the ones from the last 10 days are probably lost. Do I need to cancel the submitted tickets or how does that work?

For your SMS issue, PM is having problem provisioning text capability for new activations. And if you are an iPhone user, iMessage activation by phone number will also be impacted without a working SMS.
PM is working on a fix but for now, they can only resolve the issue on a case by case basis. Please open ticket with PM support by messaging CS Agent here:
