Thank you for your suggestion, but the problem is that I have selected Change now (not realizing id be charged again (last payment was last week) especially that 19 is lower than 25

you are lucky if you have a $25-1GB plan, you are able to get the lost money back. PM is offering existing subscribers a $19-1GB plan. It is pretty much the same $25 -1GB plan, except it is better, it has 4G speed instead of 3G. With it being just $19, you can recover the lost reward savings from the change of the reward system. You might want to login to My Account and schedule a plan change to this $19 plan using Change on Renewal option

I had 1gb data, unlimited text and messages, would pay 20.70 a month but last two months was charged 28.74
When I discovered this today, (after logging in to refer someone, of all things) I switched for that 19.00$ promo ($19.00 for Unlimited Canada-wide minutes + 1GB Data at 4G Speed) , which by the way look the exact same as what I had, except for the price I used two pays for years up until 2 months ago.
Got instantly charged even though Ive already been charged 28.74 last week.

I logged on to refer someone.
discovered my last 2 bills were 28$ instead of 20$, did not understand why.
I went to the plans and selected the 19$ plan. I did as hairbag1 said (change now).
I did not understand that I would be double charged like this. This is highway robbery.
I just got charged 28$ last week.
If I dont get this charge cancelled, im going elsewhere.

@andrekh they don't change your plan for you, you have to make the plan change yourself.
Can you tell us what plan you have before and what is showing now?? if it is just that you found out they charged more, it is directly related with the rewards system change as explained above

they don't change plans unless you make the change. Did you try to change plans recently ? If so, you were given choice to Change on Renewal OR Change Now. If you select change now, you pay now and there's no refunds or pro-rating of service.

logged onto my account because i was going to refer someone
i realized they had changed my plan and increased my bill 2 months ago without my consent
I changed back to the plan whose price was similar to what I had before, they charged me instantly even though renewal was last week
if they dont cancel this thievery im going elsewhere

for the charges issue, did you used the Change Now or Change on Renewal option when you made the plan change?? Did you check the Payment history and confirmed PM took the 2 plan charges??
For the 'increase in price ", you might have missed the announcement back in March about the rewards system change
PM retired the old reward system earlier (May 2024) and everyone migrated on the new Public Points system.
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/move-to-public-points
With this new system, you pay the full amount first (with the Available Funds on your My Account or via your credit/debit card on the system), and hence you see a higher charge now.
After renewal, PM will give you the points to your reward account within 48 hours. Once you collected 15 points, you can redeem $15 bill payment yourself to bring the next payment down. Or you can also use points to buy add-ons with a discounted price

@andrekh, For the increase you recently discovered, have you been able to pin point what the change was, are you missing previous discounts you had before? And for the plan change, did you select Change Now or Change on Renewal? If you accidentally selected Change Now then that would explain why you were charged a second time so quickly after the first charge
