Re: Changing phone number

I currently have a disconnected phone number from a previous provider. When I try to change that number to a PM one through my account, all it says is that it failed. It's been about 30 days and I still am unable to change my number, is there any other solution to this? Do I have to reset my account?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your service active? When did you last pay for your plan? When you call 611 from your phone what does it say?

@ashamd  You should immediately delete your tel numbers from your post.  Click the 3 dots top right of the post and edit/delete.  This is a public forum open for anyone with internet access.

@klagthomas1 Definitely the account with the other Service Provider needs to be active for you to be able to transfer the number. What I could recommend you is to get in contact with the other service provider and see if they can resume the line.

@klagthomas1 : Porting can only be done from an active account if not Telus or Koodo. Then there could be restrictions of valid numbers. For that we'd need to know the area code and prefix (not last 4 digits). But you said "disconnected".
