It worked fine until I got a new phone and sim card after mine was stolen. But now it says rcs disabled by carrier. Any idea jow can this be fixed?

@Dtack , the problem is not on your end. The way RCS works is that both parties must have it enabled for messages to be transacted on RCS. If google detects one of the parties not enable on RCS, the text default to the old SMS protocol.
You just need to play around with disabling RCS and reenabling it, deleting app data, reinstalling the app. Eventually it will work.

Thank you so much!
Disabled the message app but couldn't uninstall it. But that's ok because when I signed back in it said that rcs was now enabled!

PM does not disable RCS. Can you try uninstall Google Message and reboot and reinstall and then re-register RCS

I don't really have an answer either - a nephew recently joined with a Android phone and he has the same issue. We have tried most things, but no success other than for me to turn off RCS on my Iphone so his texts can come through, a workaround, but not a solution.
