Quebec IP once my CAN only plan switched to US/CAN? Why? Anyone else notice too?

I use to be on the $34/40gb 5G unlimited after CAN only plan

recently renewed to the now-expired $34/50gb 5G CAN/US plan

Now my cell IP (regardless if 3G/LTE/5G) is Quebec based though some ip resolver sites says Timmins, ON, it actually is a Quebec IP

https://nordvpn.com/what-is-my-ip/

No matter reboot, turn off data for hours, even a new IP is Quebec based

how do I get back an ON IP?

anyone else notice this?

Why does the US/CAN plan force a Quebec IP?

In the 8 years with PM, my IP has always been Ontario, up to last week when I was still on a Canada only plan.

@AidenAlt

it is not something you can control.  it is based on the system/tower you are connected to. For example, all the Eastern provinces are using the QC IP (mainly because the network servers are all in Quebec)

if you really need an Ontario IP for any reason, you might need to use VPN instead
