No wifi when outside my home. Have 5 g but its not working when out of reach of my home wifi.

I have data but apparently when I leave my home wifi it tells me I have no wifi.

WiFi has nothing to do with PM service.
If you have data on your plan, activate data and you will have internet.
Outside your home WiFi is available if somebody broadcast WiFi signal and anybody with working phone can use it (if it is free, no password required). You do nod need mobile service for WiFi

new activation? What phone do you have?
Try Reboot phone and Reset Network settings
if it still does not work, manually change the network mode and test both 4G (or LTE) and 5G
if same, you will need PM support agent to check, submit a ticket with CS Agent using Chatbot here:
