I found this thread as I was doing my wife's phone AFTER I had done my primary number. Luckily, everything went perfectly and both numbers ported instantly from the SAME Koodo account.

Hi again,
I am still having issues with my second number (I am rajeh_h, just with the second account). I now am not receiving incoming calls from the second number and none of the mods are replying to my messages over the past two days. Please help.
Thanks.

Much obliged, @imm1304.

Hi
I am facing a similar situation but am having difficulties porting the second number. I went through the whole process for my first number without any issues but the second number is not working. Both numbers were ported from Wind and both were ported to take advantage of the $40 promo. However, second number is now saying no minutes are included, and I can't even sign in to the second account to check the information. Please help.

Oooh, good point regarding porting the secondary number first. I didn't think about that, as I'm porting two lines over from a Rogers Share Everything account. Good thing I popped by the forums here while I wait for my sims to arrive! 🙂

I will use two separate emails as that won't be an issue. Thanks for the quick replies everyone!

@jheili99 makes a good point about using two separate email addresses. With PM, having two separate accounts, you'll need to have two different email addresses (using same one will cause registration error).
Not sure if you'll only be managing or also paying for your mom's account, but using two of your email addresses would make it easier to access the accounts. That's what I did anyway.

One other reason it's good to port the secondary number first...
If you have a shared data plan and port the primary number first, the secondary user will temporarily have no data plan. I got burned that way. After my number was ported over, my wife used data and we got charged the pay-per-use rate. We ported her number over an hour later, so the cost was minimal, but good logic @b777 about porting your mom's number first.

no, there are no problemns... i had the same thing with wind...2 numbers 1 account... just make sure you use 2 different email accounts with PM

Hi @b777!
You should have no problem porting out the 2 lines from the same Wind account to 2 separate PM accounts.
I would have suggested the same thing you are planning to do: activate new line for your mom first and port her number to PM. Verify that all went smooth and then do the same for yourself.
By the way, enter your mom's number for referral reward when you are activating your line and she will get $1 off per 30 days from her bill.
FYI: in theory, as long as at least 1 phone line remains active, your Wind mobile account should remain active. However, I agree about the precaution of porting the primary number last.
I look forward to welcoming you to PM soon. Feel free to post again if you need any help or encounter errors. The community moderators will be happy to help.
