I received a confirmation text from my carrier and replied to it, but it didn't seem to work because a few days later I realized I couldn't receive phone calls.
I have since cancelled that membership because I believed that my phone was working. I could make phonecalls as expected.
Can I have the porting process restarted or am I out of luck and will forever only be able to make phone calls only?

@genericname If you're having trouble with the chatbot then send customer service a private message using this link
https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
You may need to ask your previous carrier to temporarily reinstate your account there so that the number can be transferred.

Further issues: I went to Koodo's website and used the automated chat bot. It says "If you cannot receive phone calls, leave us a Facebook message"
I don't have Facebook any longer. I'd just like to speak to a human and not a chat bot that goes in circles.

I can't get through on the phone number provided. The only response I get is "there is no active port available" and "we'll send you a text with further instructions" but I can't receive texts.
It also says to go to koodo's website and use the automated chat to schedule a callback, but I can't receive phone calls.

hi @genericname if port is done, the old account would have been closed and you dont need to manually close it yourself, so likely the port was never completed
But check with PM porting support team and confirm. I have sent you the number to PM Porting support team Please check your community inbox: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/privatenotespage
