Good Morning,
I've recently joined Public Mobil, the first 2 numbers I Ported worked perfectly and I was up and running within the hour with no issues.
However the third number i ported only worked partially.
My third Sim card was activated, however the old number wasn't ported over, and I was given a different number. So I my virgin mobil sim was never deactivated.
I've gone through the chat bot, and Tried to submit a ticket, and even though i can answer every question, the ticket process never lets me get to the point where I can actually click the submit button. (it's always grayed out).
First I tried to submit a ticket regarding "porting a number"... I know my old account number, and pin... I fill everything out... Won't let me click submit ticket.
So I then tried to submit a ticket under "other", and I proceeded to write a long explanation of the problem, the correct number that should of been ported and the wrong number I was given... etc...
I was able to click next.... But then I was not able to verify who I am... It wouldn't accept my login name and password. Even though I know my login name and password as It's the same long in name and password that I need here to log into the community and make this very post.
So Then I try the Can not verify button... Which then proceeds to list alot of questions, regarding my account, last payment etc and so forth.. All of which I can answer, no problem.
However at the end of the process, I'm still not able to click the submit button.
So, not being new to using the computer, and all the miriads of problems that can exist... I try alternate browsers thinking that perhaps it could be a browser specific problem. But nope, that didn't help either.
This has already been a long ordeal, and I seem incapable of having a ticket submitted to fix it.
I simply want my number ported correctly so I have the same phone number i have always had, Just like the 2 numbers I ported correct the week before.
Please help me.

@Lynn1972 Wow was this just a weird random mistake? Or were they actually getting defrauded and somehow you got their number? I'm happy you are all sorted out . Welcome to public mobile!

Problem solved...
Telus just called me, apparently someone wasn't happy i had their number... No Kidding, as I've been a victum of Sim Swap earlier last year. Long story it sucked... Glad it's over.
Also Anyone out there reading this... Never use your cell phone number as 2 step authentication for anything. It's basically opening the door to anyone tech savy or not, to simply ruin your life and quickly gain access to your email, as well as Your amazon, paypal account... My PC finanical mastercard for some reason, and the list goes on and on.
Anyway I'm now successfully ported. (I'll let the moderators know.).
Cheers. (hopefully the referral didn't break... I'll double check that next).
Chow!

To funny, I do remember playing that as well. And yes, my best friend at the time, had the 300 baud modem. My father however was a bit of a Technology hound, we quickly progressed from 1200, (was there something inbetween), 9600 Hayes, and finally 14.4 USR robotics (I think it cost $900 dollars at the time). Heck we were the first in our entire town with a Cable modem, when cable modems weren't available in our area for at least a couple more years. (not sure how he did that or how much he had to pay for the ability.)
My mother eventually divorced him (internet handle was the Greyfox), as he typically spent every single cent he had on the very latest technology. But at least we had every single game that ever game out for most of our childhood. 😄

@Lynn1972 , 1200 baud must have been a treat! I have used 300 baud modems to play Star Trek. Still have any acoustic couplers kicking around?

Appreciated, but don't you worry, I've been keeping my eye on that Envelope, and refreshing my page often.
I'm getting close to 48 years of age, and I've been using a computer from the very beginning (vic 20, commadore 64 / 128 / Atari ST / IBM 386a nd so on). Been using forums since before there was an internet, and we had to dial directly into various message board communities with our 1200 baud modem and play games like Baron's. Ah the good ole days.
Anyway, thanks again.
