Says get $2.25 per month rewards to that effect....

Does that mean plan price goes down $2.25 per month?

Current plan $40 per month, no rewards.....

Is it better cost wise to change to the $45?

PM shows how much would you 'earn' in Points if you subscribe for that plan. You need at least 15 points to start exchanging them for $.

Plans plan will stay the same for each 30 days.

Notice the tricky marketing terms used. $2.25/month in points value. You don't get any reduction in cost. You earn points that you can accumulate to then reduce cost or buy add-ons.

As for plan value that's up to you. Since providers are all about selling data, calculate the best bang for the buck. The problem with that is how much do you want to spend?

as a new customer, you'll be enrolled in the Points reward program. Each time your account is renewed, you'll get a small percentage in that program and eventually you can buy add-ons or whatever.

no, the 2.25 is for those who are on Public Points rewards program and that is given as points.  Once you collected to 15 points, you can redeem for $15 bill credit

So, in short, you still need to pay the full plan amount+tax and get the points back

I think it means that you will have back the $2.25 value in Public Mobile points each month, when you choose to activate the preauthorized payments.
