Hi everyone,
I'm a little confused at how the plan changes work. I signed up yesterday the the 90/days $120 package and I just realized that I didn't check off text. I'm trying to change it and it's saying that it will be more than $120 although there is a discount on it that brings it to the same price. How do I go abouts changing this so I can get text for the current three months.
I've set up auto-pay and see a preauthorization on my credit card for $120 from yesterday.

@Byron glad it's resolved-- @Shazia_K rocks! Unfortunately we've seen plenty of people fall into this issue in the community; I have asked PM to prompt folks to confirm when they choose a talk and data option but no texting, to let them know it's FREE and confirm they meant to exclude it before completing the transaction. Alas, I still wait and hope they implement this one day.

Hello,
I seemed to have done something similar when I signed up last night. At least I thought the "text" option was selected but my account is indicating that I don't have it. The price is the same with or without the text option when looking it up. If someone could help it would be appreciated!
I private messaged a mod but haven't heard yet and am hoping it would be faster through this post.

You can change your plan directly from website or your account. make sure you have right regions and choose whatever you want. Compare prizes some times message option doesn't make change in your final prize . more options you choose more discount you will get.
if you change your plan before your anniversary date you will start new anniversary date. so with everything with previous plan will lost. If you really dont want new plan wait untill next anniversary date or there is option for that says will plan change automatically in your next anniversary date. hope it clear your problem.

Hi @prasprime, i'm not sure where you got the impression you would receive text messages without choosing the texting option, but unfortunately that was definitely wrong. PM is entirely pre-paid, so you get exactly the services you pay for, and nothing more.
When you change plans, you end up forfeitting without refund what was left in your current plan. However, becasue you are new and clearly didn't understand how this works, I suspect a moderator can make an exception for you and credit at least some of the original $91 back to your account toward your next renewal. ALso I see you tried to tag Mary, but it didn't quite work. @Mary_M can you please look at this when you are back in the office?
About your final question: if you port out of PM, you will definitely not get a refund for any unused time remaining on your cycle.

Hello,
i tried added 30 days unlimited provincial wide take for $27 but another plan was added and $15 deducted from my amount which i did not choose.
I added funds to my account via vouchers and clicked change plan i had the correct amount to cover the plan. $15 was deducted from my credit for the 10 day plan which i did not choose.
please help!!

@azuljays welcome to Public Mobile! Yes you will typically get a much quicker turnaround in the community forums than by email support.
For future reference if you need to change your plan again in the future:
PM is a fully pre-paid model, and does not typically offer any refunds or credits on unused portions of your plan. What this means is, when you go to change your plan online, you will be given two buttons. One of them is to schedule the plan change for your next renewal date. This means, you carry on with your current plan until it ends, and then your next cycle starts with the new plan you've just chosen. This is what you will typically want to do. The other option is to do the plan change right away. What this does is to end your current plan/cycle, and forfeit any remaining days/$ that would have been left. If then starts a new cycle on the new plan you've chosen, and charges you the full amount for that cycle. Use this only if you desperately need the new plan options and can't wait unti the next renewal date. For example, if you are 20 days into a 90 day cycle for, say, $90, and then choose to immediately change your plan to a new 90 day plan that's $120, you will pay the full $120 at the moment, and this is on top of the $90 you paid 20 days earlier.

The same exact thing happened to me when I signed up on Monday! I sent PM an e-mail but haven't received a response. I've been so busy with work but I finally have time to get this sorted. Looks like community help is the best way to go!
Could've sworn I checked off the global text option but I guess I didn't tap hard enough when I signed up for the plan with my tablet!
