Pixel 8 Pro disabling one eSIM anytime I activate the other?

Everything I've read says as long as the carrier supports it, I did this no problem with my Pixel 8a (although I had other issues with setting which was actually in "slot 1"). I contacted google, but they're saying my carrier needs to help me? I just did this not that long ago on my other phone... what gives?

Alright, I ended up giving up. I tried to talk to Google and Public Mobile technical support, but Google says it's Public Mobile, and Public Mobile says it's Google. For what it's worth, I agree with Public Mobile. I was able to get two SIM working with 1 physical SIM and one eSIM. Everything I've read suggests dual eSIM should be possible on the Pixel 8 Pro, and I had it working on my Pixel 8a, not sure why I can't get both eSIM active on at the same time. I went to the store, bought a physical SIM, activated  it and threw it in the phone and it worked without doing anything else.

@computergeek541oh? Interesting. I'm curious what action was taken? Did someone reply here by accident or something?

@computergeek541, I thought I replied yesterday, but I don't see it anymore. I don't understand what your post means, was my post a duplicate? What was it a duplicate of? The URL you posted says access denied for me, and my post seems to be in the same place as before?

The link isn't intended to be accessible. It's a placeholder to indicate that action was taken.  The placeholder wasn't an indication that a post of yours that was removed from the thread but was rather about a post by another member.

Yeah @hTideGnow , agreed. Like I said I did it with my 8a, like as in it was working earlier today. I just tried to move my eSIM over to my Pixel 8 Pro today, so if it's been removed because they're a tier 3, it's new, and it's not retroactive.

Hi @k-e-c

all I can say is I tried to setup dual esim with Telus and it works.  With Public Mobile using the same system, it should work.  But being a tier 3 of Telus, they might purposely disable that feature.

Thanks softech, both eSIM are from public mobile, I do know they allow it as I was doing the exact same thing with my Pixel 8a. I'll open a ticket.

Pixel 8 support dual active esim.  What esim you have install with PM esim together?  which provider?

However, it is likely a device setup for allowing that, but yes, some needs help from carrier but I doubt PM blocks. that.  You can confirm with PM support agent
