I have an unlocked iPhone 16 that I bought directly from Apple in Canada. I have a US phone eSIM and wanted to add a public mobile eSIM. However I can’t even generate one? I even tried transferring my US eSIM back to my old iPhone and deleting and redownloading the public mobile app, and nothing. I can’t get past the generating eSIM step (ie: I pick my phone number, and then it tells me there’s an error getting the eSIM). Any insight is appreciated, I ordered a physical sim but I’m just pretty irritated I can’t get the eSIM to work!

I tried that too! and I’ve been chatting with support and they told me the only solution is to use a physical SIM card. Very strange, eh?

@srgertz I have an iPhone 13 so it should definitely work. Maybe try uninstalling the app, restart the phone and then reinstall the app and try again. If it's still not working reach out to a support agent for assistance.
