Yes. I have an iPhone 5s and it worked very well with PM in the last 3 years. Then I got an iPhone 7 which also works perfectly with PM. So go ahead.

What do you mean "required"? It should certainly be compatible as above. As for "required", you can use any phone that is unlocked and compatible with Telus/Bell.

iPhone 5S should work with PM service.
I purchased an iPhone 5S from Koodo a few years back. Koodo and PM are on the same Telus network.
