Hi there, I'm trying to port my Telus number to Public. When I input my current Telus number it says it's invalid. I still have my account with Telus so it should work.
Thanks

I am staying on the topic of this thread, OP was asking " port my Telus number to Public"
as a long term community member, I am pretty sure you know some numbers can be ported into PM/Telus but some not. I can help you to check the portability if you have one in mind. You can private message me to avoid being off topic

if the number, landline included, already on the Telus network, it can be moved around the Telus family as the number is already in the Telus network, there is no real "porting" need to be done

Even your number is Telus number I would still double check if number is 'compatible' with PM service.
Telus, Koodo and PM are basically on the same system and there is not "double check" needed. Even a number from a suspended account can be moved around the Telus family
Good to know.
What about checking any other number (land line)?

It used to be a link to Koodo (same company as PM) to verify number compatibility for porting but link does not work anymore.
If anybody has new and valid link that will be helpful to new (and old) customers.
Even your number is Telus number I would still double check if number is 'compatible' with PM service.

make certain that your Telus account is active and in good standing..otherwise the port of that number will be more difficulter.

hi @Kennnay
Telus number will for sure able to port. Is the number active still?
what you can do is to get a temporary phone number first, activate the line. After it is activated, and working well, go to My Account, Profile and click Transfer number there. Or you can also open ticket with PM after the line is activated and ask the PM support agent to help to manually port in the number
