Phone number switch over

Karengeoffrey

Hi everyone,

i just activated my new phone with public mobile last week and it seems to be working for the most part but my old phone is still working as well. My phone number was supposed to switch over and my old plan be canceled but it has not happened. I receive some messages on my new phone but some still go to my old one and I can only make calls from my new phone but only receive them to my old one. I have called my old provider and they said that they have no record of the number being switched over and my account is still active. I am wondering why this is and how to fix it.

please help!

hi..

this would mean that your port is stuck...most likely because the information you provided did not 100% match with what your old provider has on file ( as explained many times in this community forum ) ....

in short: you will be able to make calls..send texts..and use data... receiving texts and calls will still go to your old provider....

there are options what you could try yourself in this forum ..just search for "port stuck" or other key words and you will find instructions on what to do..

if nothing works you have to contact a moderator..how to do that is explained here:

cheers
