Phone number doesn't show up in setting

I was able to transfer my number from the previous provider to public mobile.

However, under the phone settings-sim card, my phone number is showing as unknown.

Will it be updated or it's normal???

I bought a subscription two days ago.

On one of our lines when we transferred I had to turn off the eSIM and then back on and it worked after that.  Just another thing you could try if you have not already.

I just tried resetting network but still doesn't recognize my number lol

it is physical sim,right?   if it is , take the sim out and put it back

if eSIM, no, you cannot "reinstall"

I downloaded E-sim so I don't have a physical SIM card... 😞

try also "reset all networks" on your phone, it will refresh everything with the carrier, it might fix the problem

do you have another phone? put the sim there and test

or if you just have the pixel phone , take the sim out and put it back after and check

it's a long shot but try removing the sim..then re-installing. See if that kick-starts everything to work properly.

Yes it's working fine.just the sim doesn't recognize my phone number.

I am using pixel 4a. I restarted the phone numerous times but still showing unknown. 

I am not sure I can manually update it.

can you call out and others can call you successfully ? Is text and data working as expected ?

Try reboot the phone

what phone you have? some phone you can manually update it
