You do you. For the committed conspiracists, cash is under the same umbrella. How do you buy stuff? Straight barter? Labour? Trade? Crypto-currencies are even more fake digital numbers on a screen.
Unlike the states, our banks are far more regulated. When was the last time you heard of a bank failure here? The banks have been wanting to de-regulate or remove regulations for some time so they can play the same financial games that banks in the states enjoy. The previous Harpo Con government was entertaining the idea. Then that little problem in 2008 happened in the states. Our banks were unaffected (in Canada anyway).

As it becomes closer and closer to be mandatory to have a cell phone for day to day life. Should they not be supplied to the general populous for free since they will be mandatory? Thoughts anyone?

I dont believe in auto pay nor bank accounts for that matter . all finances are completely fake these days as there is nothing backing the finances all these places state they have . even banks only have digital numbers on a screen . go and ask the banks if they have enough money to cover whatever debt they have lent out lol. Rant of the day. Thanks for all help though

If you've been here a couple years then you might want to leave the autopay option on to get the $2 autopay reward. You can pay with vouchers or real time payments or do manual payments with that card before it renews and you'll still get the autopay reward.
Unless you switched to points. Don't if you didn't.

@Me87 you can certainly ask PM and see why it happened, but I am pretty sure it won't enable automatically after you add the card.
anyway, disable Autopay first or if you want that card removed, open ticket with support

The self service account was revamped last year, so it might be different this time.
After your next payment with your mom's card, then you can add back your own Visa card which will replace your mom's card. You can toggle on/off pre-authorized payments in your self service account.
Or another option is that your mom could purchase a payment voucher at a store (ie. Shoppers, gas station) and load the voucher for you.

We have done this many times before . it is now different as there is no choice to not have auto pay

@Me87 the mandatory Autopay enabling is just during activation. If your mom helped you to activate, then yes,it would have been enabled. But if the card was added after activation, then it should be be set to enable for Autopay.
at this time, please login My Account, go to Payment page and disable it

Yes, that is the default choice when you put in your credit card information in your self service account. However, you can turn off pre-authorized payments/autopay afterwards in your self service account.

More details would be helpful. Who wants to force her to set up autopay? It is not mandatory.

You don't have to.
