Pausing US Roaming Add-on

MarFli

I have a couple trips to US upcoming and each only expected to last 3 days or so each, once I return from the first trip can I pause my Add-on and use the remainder on the next trip in a couple months?

Thanks

Yes that phone would not be volte capable. So you would need to change the networks down top 2G GSM. But your phone might not let you do that either.
Being an iphone and that you didn't buy data then imessage instant messaging won't work either unless you have send as sms and send as mms options on. Even then, sending to other iphones may be troublesome. Or connect to a wifi. AT&T won't do talk at all for you.

@sneezycat1 Hmmm I would've expected you to have issues with phone calls because your phone isn't VoLTE capable with PM, and there is no 3G service. But your data and texts should have been fine, assuming good signal and that you had data roaming enabled on your phone. I'm very perplexed about text issues.

I was in San Jose California most of the time, traveling through Oregon and Washington.  My device is an apple I-phone 6S Plus iOS 15.7.8.  Phone was purchased in US.  Device showed T-Mobile as carrier, not AT&T.

@sneezycat1 individual experiences will vary, based on location and device, among other considerations. I've personally always had excellent roaming service in Washington, Oregon and California. The only hiccup was when the US had shut down their 3G network and PM hasn't enabled VoLTE yet.

Where were you and what device are you using? Is it a north American version? Were your by chance connected to AT&T? Until recently TMobile was the only roaming partner. Recently AT&T seems to be coming online for roaming, but it's very sporadic.

If you have a compatible device and T-Mobile service you should have been fine. But of course service isn't available everywhere.

I purchased a US roaming, text and talk package for a trip to the US.  I would not recommend purchasing this add-on.  It did not work.  I was unable to receive texts MOST of the time, and unable to make or receive calls. I ended up depending on someone else's phone for communication while I was in the US.  I felt totally ripped off and asked PM for at least a credit, which they refused to do.  It is unethical for them to market and sell an add-on which the admit will not work in most situations.  Don't buy this add-on.

Hi @MarFli

Enjoy your trips to the states.

However as @DennyCrane and @computergeek541 stated, it's pay per use here at PM and if you purchase a 15 roaming, it's 15 days from the time of purchase, not the day of purchase. The question you have to ask yourself, do you really need data while your down there or is the Talk/Text a good enough option?

Nope, doesn't work that way. Once you purchase the add-on it runs for 15 days straight, and then it expires. No pausing.

Sorry, this cannot be done.  Add-ons aren't pausable.
