Hi,
i was wondering if my existing sim will work in europe . I’m not planning to use any e-sim. And if there is service what could be the top-up/roaming plans?

I have travelled to Europe twice over the last two years. My solution was to get an Orange Travel eSim. You can buy the Orange hard sim version if that is your preference. However, it is much more convenient to use the esim version and not fuss with taking out and possibly losing the PM sim.
The cheapest Orange plan is €19.99 which gives you 12 GB of data and a European telephone number which allows you to make unlimited calls and texts in Europe for 14 days. It also allows you to up to 30 call minutes and 200 texts worldwide (eg Canada). There are also longer plans with more data at higher prices.
Having the ability to make regular phone calls and texts is very convenient. It is nice to be able to telephone a hotel, restaurant to confirm reservations etc. On my last trip, I had to make a phone call to my Canadian Bank to resolve some issues. I can confirm that Orange worked flawlessly in the UK, Germany, Spain and Portugal. Most esims like Airalo only provide data and no call and text. Good luck.

NOPE!
PM does NOT provide service outside of Canada/USA.

Hello @John_20
Public Mobile only works in Canada and the United States (with the purchase of roaming add on). You can not use your Public Mobile in any other country. If you wish to use cellular services while you’re in another country, you can look at https://www.airalo.com/ for affordable data plans and then download an app like Fongo and pick a local number to where you currently live. They do however charge for texting. TextNow is free calling and texting. You can use both of these VOIP programs via WiFi or on a data only SIM card.
