Ordered a SIM card but can't track package

Someone23

Hi all, I am currently trying to obtain a SIM card from public mobile and they sent an email about the order being shipped by Canada Post. However, when I click on the associated link, it says the tracking number is not applicable. I was wondering if this is an issue or if this is normal and if it isn't normal, what should I do?

Many customers say the delay has actually increase to over 3 weeks. Going forward (and even in this case if you need the sim now and can't wait any longer) you can either go in store or you can order from a place like Canadian Cell Supplies which isn't only cheaper than PM but so much quicker too.

Most of the time SIM from PM are sent by regular mail. Expect delivery time of 2-3 weeks. If you do not get ut until end on June contact agent for assistance (replacement).

@Someone23 - how long ago was this?

If it goes beyond 10 working days and you still have not received anything, submit a ticket with CSA and let them know.

Public Mobile Representatives customer support agents (CSA) can be contacted by either two methods, found here:

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/contact-an-agent

If you do not have a current account or phone number with public mobile already you will need to use the 2nd option in the above link to send a private message to an agent.

Although Public Mobile says that all SIM card shipments go by Canada Post Xpresspsost (which is trackable), not all SIM card shipments are sent this way.  Some are, but not all.  I have personally seen Public Mobile use Canada Post Xpresspost, Canada Post Priority, and UPS Standard.  I'm also read about instances of Public Mobile using Purolator Ground and also a shipping company called Intelcom.   There being no tracking number in your order summary is a pretty good indication that your SIM card was sent by lettermail which isn't trackable.

@Someone23   Sorry, it is kinda normal  😞

And expect the shipping to be within 1 to 3 weeks.  It is a bit long.  If you need it urgently for activation, you might want to check local store.  If you activate there, many will provide you the sim card for free.
