Only curious, but why did the community URL change?

My Bookmarks had a bit of a freak out, a week or so ago when i noticed they were no longer loading the community. Found via Google that the first part was changed to productioncommunity from just community

Just curious why the change? It's not a big deal at all, but just randomly curious about why the change lol

@esjliv this would make most sense to me. I'm just thinking now maybe just community used to redirect to production community and no longer does? All I know is I needed to re-save my links to the main community page. I just had thought others may have had to too 🤷

We joined around the same time. All my 'canned' links have "productioncommunity.publicmobile".

It could be some hyperlink where the address appears one way "community.publicmobile", but the underlying actual link is "productioncommunity.publicmobile".

Yah, i'm guessing it's the difference between seeing the URL field displayed on a mobile vs a desktop.

On my mobile, it only shows "nmunity.publicmobile.ca" in portrait mode.

When i turn the screen to landscape, then it shows, "productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Public-Mobile-Community"

On my desktop, it shows the full URL address:

"https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Public-Mobile-Community/ct-p/Public_Mobile_Community"

I can't recall a time when it wasn't productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca, and I've been around since 2015.

It could be that your mobile device URL field is simply not long enough (being displayed on smaller screen-size) to display the full URL address.

When I look at mine on my mobile, it only shows the last part of the URL (from about the word "community" onward)

Could that be the reason?

It was always production community for me. They possibly could have changed it but they probably did months ago.

My old one, mobile browser was just community.publicmobile where now it's productioncommunity.publicmobile

I have a tablet and my phone and both needed me to search up the new link. I noticed the difference when comparing the Google result on one with the other devices favorites link. For me at least, the word production is newly needed 🤷🤷

Strange - it didn't change with my bookmark which has been in place for months... are you certain?
