Can we switch back to the old rewards system where I got a few bucks off a month? The new rewards system is only good if you want what you can buy for points. I grabbed 200mb data cuz it's always good to have extra but in hindsight, I much preferred the $5 off a month and I can just buy extra data if needed.
Thanks

@Jburge💯agree with you on your last post. It was so easy saying ""Hey you should check out PM right off the bat you'll save $2". I don't even bother now with the points system. I did activate 3 other accounts before the change to points system and they sold quickly lol.

Yes you get less with loyalty and Auto pay if your plan is under $40/30 days but referral rewards and community rewards are unchanged in value. The more you refer the more points you accrue. If you get to the same amount of points as your plan amount you can redeem for bill credits. A little more work than before when redeeming but you can still get to a $0 bill.

Yeah and I guess it won't recommend it to people as much because the monthly rewards was the reason I said hey you should change to public.

Yes it does suck....so make sure you take advantage of the discounted redemptions for add ons. Some up to 50% off the regular price. The $5/500min add on and the $5/200mb of data are not discounted in the redemption catalogue or the $15 bill credit but everything else is discounted compared to paying real money for them. Use this to your advantage when redeeming points.

Seems like PM could have a strategy of signing up more customers on the new rewards system, and sending emails reminding us of the new rewards could lead to more switchers even though they might not intend to do so. Tricking people is a sneaky way to wean people off the old rewards.

Yeah tell me about it lol.. I left in 2018 and had some decent rewards if I just stayed on I would have maxxed the loyalty to 5 a month plus my referrals... Of course I got back on board a month and change too late so didn't even have an option to build the old rewards back up again. Too bad the new system is so much worse than the old one

That sucks!

Unfortunately you cannot go back. However you could ask customer support if they will reverse your redemption for 200mb/5points of data and instead redeem 10 points for 1gb of data which is a way better deal for data. Just tell them you made an honest mistake when redeeming for data the first time and hopefully you will get the much better redemption.

I wish. I'd be jumping back to that too if I could. Unfortunately they want as many ppl off the old rewards as possible so once you leave, they nail the door shut on that.

@Jburge Unfortunately, you can't go back to the old rewards once you opt into the new points system. Others have also asked and it's been confirmed by customer support that it's not permitted. Sorry.

@Jburge Nope sorry! Once you switch from old rewards to new point system you cannot go back. There is a big disclaimer that you have to click a check mark to confirm that you're in agreement with terms and conditions.
Many people have tried to return back to the old rewards and all have been denied by Public Mobile.
